About Rarangi

Rarangi is an area of residential and lifestyle properties, just 10 – 15 mins drive from Blenheim. Originally Rarangi enjoyed the "township" area consisting of houses (no shops) and the beachfront properties along Rarangi Beach Road.

In 2000 The Edgewater Estate was opened up and this new subdivision has a mixture of lifestyle properties from approx. 8,000m2 to 1.3ha in size or the beachfront properties mostly on 5,500m2.

All Rarangi beachfront properties enjoy views of the sea, Wellington hills, sunrises and moon rises and have a width of protected conservation reserve between the boundaries and the beach. There are many accesses to the beach from Edgewater Place, Ocean View Crescent and Bay End.

The beach is mostly stoney, but closer to The Diversion there is a significant change to sandy at low tide. This does consistently change. Swimming is with great caution and safer at the low tide. Best swimming is sandy Whites Bay 10 min. away.
